Adding an image gallery

If you wish to add multiple images at once, PencilBooth has three options:

Single images is will just display images one on top of another and look and act like just the regular single image option.

The Thumbnail Gallery option will show one large image at once, with thumbnails underneath that you can click to enlarge. This option will only display on web version of your take. For email it will fall-back to the single images view.

The Grid Gallery option will crop your images to a square and display your images in set rows and columns.

The multiple image uploader allows you add up to 12 images at a time:

Hover over the thumbnails on the left to change the order of the images:

You can also change the gallery type before uploading:

All options you have in single image upload (Link, Alt Text, Tags, Set as Hero Image, Set as Paid Content) are all available to edit on the right hand side.

Once you hit save, the images will begin uploading. If you are uploading a large number of large images, this might take some time.

After your gallery is updated you can change the format, change the order, or delete it from the same corner menu:

You can convert a thumbnail gallery to grid gallery and vice versa, but once you convert anything to a single-image gallery, you cannot go back.

You can give your gallery a title and caption just as with anything else, and use the same text formatting features as well.
