Adding Links (formerly The B-Roll)

PencilBooth offers a unique way to share links in your take in a more image-focussed way - think of it as a nice little visual snack to sprinkle in your newsletter.

To add a link simply click the add link button from the media area and enter your URL

Links by default get inserted as large images which goes to the width of the content.

There is a second option for 'vertical' links which will make a smaller thumbnail and sit to the side:

PencilBooth currently supports most major social platforms and pretty much any page that has valid opengraph data, however not all websites may bring up an image. You have three options from here to change the image.

First click, 'Edit Preview Image'

For Large (horizontal) links, you can either upload a new image from a local file. Or you can enter a URL of an image. Both of these will replace and override the opengraph image.

Vertical (small) links have a third option to replace the small thumbnail with an emoji:

You can always reset to the original image when needed:

If you want to add a credit to the link, you can easily do that as well:

This will add a small credit link under the URL:

The default title will be pulled from the Opengraph data. You can freely edit the title and add a description if you like by simply clicking in the relevant area.
